Then he  (Jesus) added,

"Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture:

'I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.'

For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous,

But those who know they are sinners."

Matthew 9:13

It has been said that after the French Revolution, a convict released on parole traveled the countryside in search of a new beginning. Being an ex-con, as you would expect, led to complications in this search, and he wound up at the gates of a clergyman who agreed to host him for the night.

The convict, as is well known, takes advantage of the bishop’s generosity: getting up early before dawn, he takes off with the bishop’s silver; his escape however is hindered by the local Police Inspector, who after seemingly catching him presents the presumed thief to the bishop for identification. The bishop, without missing a beat, covers for his sneaky guest and speaks such words of kindness over the convict’s past present and future, through releasing him even though caught red handed and deserving of further punishment.

His words? They were profound and dripped of Mercy.

“ My friend, you forgot to take the candlesticks as well.”

For those of you who are perhaps not familiar with the story about the man and the priest I just spoke of, I am referring to Victor Hugo’s book “ Les Miserables.”

I think Victor Hugo shows something of the challenge of today’s Message of the Gospel that Jesus would want us each to hear and to act upon.

Be merciful, as your Father is merciful.

Luke 6:36

NOBODY LIKES A BULLY OR TO BE TALKED DOWN TO.

Maybe it is easy for us to be merciful when we have the upper hand.  If someone comes begging for forgiveness, it becomes a show–of generosity of spirit, but a show nonetheless–that we are in some way better than that person. Picture elegant royals, who, moments before the execution of a criminal would decree their royal pardon, leaving a lasting impression of compassion upon those pleading for another chance.

THIS IS NOT THE WAY GODLY MERCY WORKS.

Oh how merciful is our Father! It’s not that our faults are not important to an immeasurable God. We have without a doubt deeply wounded the ties that bind us to him.

Yet he still holds out his hand, bloodied and deformed holes in them, created by the nails put in, even to his enemies.

TODAY JESUS INVITES US TO RE-EVALUATE OUR MERCY:

How deeply do I forgive those who offend me?

Do I pray for them, or allow my forgiveness to become a show of winning the upper hand? (Another way of showing false humility.)

The forgiving priest not only forgave Jean Valjean’s theft, he created an excuse for him, and even gave away the last of his own treasure, in the hopes that Valjean would be able to start a new life, knowing that he was shown the purest of love and authentic mercy.

MERCY MEANS…

Empathy, pity, sympathy, understanding; favor, grace; benevolence, care, compassion, gentleness, goodness, goodwill, humaneness, kindliness, meekness, mildness, niceness, softness, tenderness; generosity, affection, devotion, love, worship

IT ALSO MEANS…

…Letting go of harshness, accusation, presuming you know better what others need in order for them to better serve God. When we act out like this, we become much like Javert the Police Inspector hounding and lording it over Jean Valjean, bent on making sure all deeds that do not measure up to our way of justice are fully dealt with.

He felt sure that God wanted him to be the individual who would measure out justice and harsh terms of punishment in order to break John Valejan, thus having him pay the price of his wickedness and perchance if once finally shattered and broken, he may perhaps have God look his way .

"DON'T GET MAD -- GET EVEN?”

This seems to be the usual way people view the world nowadays. We should be thankful that God takes a different view of things. Although the Bible makes it clear that God is the Great Judge who hates all evil doing, he is also the Merciful One, who forgives and accepts people who turn to him.

Occasionally God chooses not to grant us mercy; for the purpose of judgment, rebuke, discipline, or testing. Fortunately, for most of us, this is the exception, not the rule.  For the time being, God has shown incredible patience and mercy by withholding most of the effects of our sins.

I will have mercy, on whom I will have mercy,

And I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

Rom 9:15

GOD IS NOT ALWAYS SCOLDING US!

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger forever.

Psalm 103:9

Could God find reasons to scold His children all the time? Indeed, He could! None of us are perfect. We could all do better.

However, as justified as scolding us would be, God realizes that we would easily be discouraged if all we ever heard was scolding.

When He scolds us He is correcting us so that we confess our sins and do better.

The Lord All-Powerful says, “They belong to me; on that day they will be my very own. As a parent shows mercy to his child who serves him, I will show mercy to my people.

Malachi 3:17

ASK GOD FOR THE HELP YOU NEED TO OVERCOME SIN.

Face the reality that much of the suffering in our fallen world is caused by human sin. But count on the fact that God is merciful toward all sinners. Whenever you recognize a situation in which some of your own sin has contributed to your suffering, pray for help, and God will give you the strength you need to overcome sin. Stop holding onto any sinful secrets that have been causing guilt, shame and bitterness in your soul. Confess your sins specifically, repent of them, accept the forgiveness that God offers you, and embrace the power that God gives you to move forward into a better life.

LISTEN FOR GOD SPEAKING IN THE SILENCE.

When your suffering becomes so painful that you can’t make any sense of it or figure out how to endure it, you may feel as if you’re trapped in silence, since nothing that other people say or do to try to help actually breaks through to you. But when you’re at the point where you don’t hear anything else, you can actually hear God best, since you’re less likely to get distracted by the world’s noise around you. In the silence, pour out your thoughts and feelings to God in prayer, and then listen to what He has to say to you. God won’t shout, but He will whisper, to encourage you to keep drawing closer to Him.

SUFFERING IS ALL AROUND YOU IN THIS FALLEN WORLD.

Sometimes it’s so tragic that it’s heartbreaking. Yet God promises that He is loving and merciful. How can you reconcile these two realities that seem like they compete against each other?

The key is to look for God’s mercy, even when it seems like it can’t exist with the suffering you encounter. God’s mercy is a stronger force than even the worst suffering, and when you look for it, you’ll find it.

The spirit, which he sent to live in us, wants us for him alone.

James 4:5

WE ARE GOD’S OWN.

LET US NOT BE AFRAID TO BE LIKE OUR FATHER.

Let our hearts be conduits of God’s mercy, knowing that we ourselves have been forgiven so very much.

Let us communicate our thanks to Him by being overflowing vessels of kind and tender expression, showing God’s mercy to all.

The Lord is kind and shows mercy.

He does not become angry quickly

But is full of love.

Psalm 145:8

If you would ask the true "heart determined" believer in Christ

today just what it is that they need now more than ever, it would

be totally answered by the very raw words;

“I am need to have full clarity of mind and a fearless trust in the

knowledge of how much God loves me.”

WE ARE IN ONE HOT REFINERS FIRE!

People are winding up in anger, disbelief and frustration over this

"Unfair" season the Bride of Christ is in! It just isn't fair! We have

been so good! We have laid down everything! Why oh why are

WE being singled out?

“I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched;

My eyes fail while I wait for my God.”

~ Psalm. 69:3

“ I am weary with my sighing; every night I make my bed swim,

I dissolve my couch with my tears.

~ Psalm. 6:6

Does this sound like you right now?

EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE TESTED SOMETIME!

The strongest impression I have received from the Father about

the condition of His Bride is this. When things are going

"fabulously" for her, when all of heaven is blessing, she wants to

keep it that way! If she is not in a place of great humility and thankfulness for what

the Lord is doing, she tends to assume that, “It’s about time folks

knew just how long I've been waiting for them to see just how

great this church, or ministry or intellectual skill I've been soooo

blessed with is!”

Then comes the attitude that we have to keep it allotted to only a

few “real winners” like ourselves, and we become exclusive and

look for only high rollers to run with.

And then. AGAIN comes the TEST.

Persecution comes, mug slinging, attacks on personal integrity,

character assassination, and again the fiery trial.........of our soul.

TO REMOVE IMPURITIES - GOD USES A HOT OVEN!

These trials as if by fire are only to test our faith, to show that it is

strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--

and our faith is far more precious to God than mere gold.

“So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it

will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when

Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”

~ I Peter chapter 1: 7

HOW ARE YOU DOING?

The Lord is working the Bride overtime right now to deal with

selfish ambition, personal comfort, and any other areas of

personal agenda or presumption.

YES! Presumption.

We as Christians have often presumed that because we are Christians…

…we should never experience severe sorrow, grief, loss, or devastation.

This “fairy tale” stems from a huge level of denial and total self focus. It is also a very Western culture mindset.

A dear friend of mine who went to China and who was visiting a

Chinese underground church group, had a reality check that shook

her to the core of her faith.

She thought that she was coming to

this group to “help and bless them.” When they asked her what

could they pray for the church in American about in order to

bless them she was flummoxed! Her reply was, “We came to see

how we might help you!” How can we pray for you?”

The response back was, “Pray that we would not be fearful or

silent about the gospel of Jesus we share when the authorities

beat us or imprison us. Pray that we remain strong enough

physically to endure the persecution we receive and not fear

what man may do to us.” SOBERING ISN’T IT!

When others around us are going through loss, trauma, or heart

breaking circumstances, sadly, many believers turn away in

disgust or even more disturbing, display an arrogant attitude of

thinking they are more blessed by God because their lives are

not so complex or “shattered” as those around them who must

have done SOMETHING wrong to bring these things upon

themselves.

Regrettably, some of the pain some saints are experiencing is

due to the disobedience of those in the Body of Christ around

them! They resist the hand of God and react against others in

retaliation toward God bringing correction or exposure to their

secret lifestyle of personal gain or need for power!

WE ARE NOT ALONE!

“For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners

against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.”

Heb. 12:3

Admit it! It is hard to not lose heart right now!

The world is in a tailspin and lukewarm Christians are showing their true colors! It's time to deal with this! It is NOT going to go away!

AGONY IS MORE SEVERE WHEN IT IS "ENHANCED" BY BETRAYAL!

Jesus went through it. Stephen went through it and so did

hundreds of others! AND it hurts, and disillusions, and causes

us to be so very very weary!

“You will be delivered up and betrayed even by parents and

brothers and relatives and friends, and [some] of you they will

put to death.

Luke 21:16

THE TRANSFORMATION FROM FRAGILE …

…TO FERVENT IS COMING!

“When?” You may ask…..

For my determined purpose is that I may know Him.

That I may progressively become more deeply and intimately

acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and

understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and

more clearly, and that I may in that same way come to know the

power outflowing from His resurrection which it exerts over

believers, and that I may so share His sufferings as to be

continually transformed in spirit into His likeness even to His

death, in the hope…

… That if possible I may attain to the spiritual and moral]

resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead even while in

the body.

Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been

made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my

own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of

me and made me His own.

I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my

own [yet]; but one thing I do, it is my one aspiration, forgetting

what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

I press on toward the goal to win the supreme and heavenly

prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

Philippians 3:10-14 (Amplified Bible)

HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THE LORD WOULD REQUIRE:

1.) To gain HIS strength, we must relinquish our power or control

over what we think of others. We will be judged by the way we

judge others when they struggle. Pious and lofty lectures are not

the Kingdom language of healing and restoration. Loving-

kindness and Mercy reveal the heart of godly maturity in a

believer when dealing with the sorrows and anguish of others.

“Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day,

Or like vinegar poured on soda, is one who sings songs

To a heavy heart.”

Proverbs 25:20

2.) Reach out in kindness to those under fire.

Encourage them to stand. Encourage them to seek the Lord.

Bless them and don't talk about them when they struggle!

"The Lord God has given me the tongue of disciples,

That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.

He awakens me morning by morning,

He awakens my ear to listen as a disciple."

Isaiah 50:4 3

3.) Get still. Stop organizing, planning, and pushing ahead into

oblivion! God really does have a plan!

“Though youths grow weary and tired,

And vigorous young men stumble badly,

Yet those who wait for the Lord, Will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become cynical. “

Is. 40:30 -31

4.) TRUST FOR A MOMENT!

It's all about trusting God in the end. Oh yes it is!

Will He REALLY refresh us in this time of struggle?

His Loving Word says so.

“For I satisfy the weary ones,

And refresh everyone who languishes."

Jer. 31:25 5

THE LORD IS PRODUCING ENDURANCE WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT!

“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial;

For once he has been approved,

He will receive the crown of life,

Which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

James 1:12

THE FATHER IS URGING US TO RUN TO HIM.

He is there! Even in the fog of struggle, loss, anxiety, and also in seeming success.

He wants us to be desperate for Him and rely wholly on His voice.

To make all of our decisions based on His plan for the whole earth!

Seek Him.

Lean into His Voice.

Elevate Grace and Mercy…

…And lower your own opinion of yourself and your abilities to

“lecture” others into healing or restoration.

WALK SOBERLY IF YOU ARE LIVING IN ABUNDANCE AT THIS TIME, ON ANY LEVEL.

Keep the vigil of prayer you are keeping for others well lit by the

reflecting memories of past times when you yourself needed the

Merciful Hand of God to lift you from agony and redeem your life

from the pit.

Let us be so devoted to the “One” who lavished and spilled out

all He had, that we might repeat His actions, and in so doing,

bring His Glory to it’s fullest measure and depth.

His Mercy….

…Endures.

Forever.

“Then will the lame leap like a deer,

And the mute tongue shout for joy.

Water will gush forth in the wilderness

And streams in the desert.”

Isaiah 35:6

The Lord has recently been impressing me about what goes on in the hearts of those who choose to not allow others to be promoted or to rise above them in any area that they might have either at one time held influence in, or who are at this moment in time the lead or main voice or an organization, a ministry or institution.

This can occur in a business situation, in families where patriarchal or matriarchal control is enabled, or in ministry settings where only after you have jumped through certain hoops of performance or other "tests” you will possibly then be esteemed of  “useful” value  and perhaps be allowed a place of input or respect among the “hierarchy of the day”.

The Father in heaven intentionally stripped Himself of His greatest glory.... His son ... in order that the wave of redemption needed in the earth might be brought forth through the Son. In doing so, the Father was glorified, exalted, and further honored by allowing this Son to fulfill His part of the Triune plan.

Why is this not modeled by more of those who are calling themselves, leaders, “Bishops”  - Apostles, or even now the newly developed term “Super Apostles”?

THIS IS A SPIRIT ON THE LOOSE FROM HELL

It is nothing more than a "mimic" of the spirit of pride that Lucifer operated in, and it operates in many others now. It has been working hard to invade the minds of many who at one time were in the forefront of specific moves of God or who were key leaders in areas of ministry building in the past.

This spirit operates much like how Herod the great did during the time when the Savior was about to be born in the earth. Herod was so terribly afraid that someone would "snuff him out" or would "out do" him that he lived in paranoia, and he constantly manipulated and curried favor in order to gain influence or access to whatever he needed to keep his stronghold of power intact.

Let's read in the Word about this first. Matthew 2:1-6

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:

“But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel. "

HEROD WAS A MAN WHO EXPECTED OTHERS TO UNDERSTAND THAT HE WAS THE ONE WHO HELD ALL COMMAND.

There was no room at the table for those who would not sway his way! He used smooth talk with other "Kings" and influential leaders to obtain information and tasty morsels of gossip to plan his next move in order to keep his position intact.

As the Chief Priest and keepers of the law were called together, (they walked on eggshells around Herod) the WORD of God spoke about this humble little town where a new ruler was to be "raised up" and would care for the people!

HEROD DIDN'T CARE FOR PEOPLE!

They were supposed to care for him and fear him! And grovel! He had worked hard for all of this power and honor!

Matthew Ch. 2 7-8

Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.

He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child.

As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."

HEROD GATHERED THE 3 KINGS INTO HIS CHAMBERS SECRETLY...

...To hide his plan from the Priests and lawmakers and with a "slimy" oozing, well-cultivated and deceptive tongue, tried to appear ever so interested in the new "child" that was in his way. He acted out in false humility, and used it to try to obtain information as to where his "upstart enemy" might be located. He wanted to "at least" honor him and worship him too!

In all reality...Herod wanted to go and scope out where this new king might live, and see what he had to compete with.

But! God had planned that the next wave of his power on the earth must come through a childlike and poor son. One who would not get stuck in traditional posturing or in the trends of the era? One who would not manipulate with intellect, cunningness, or through lofty ambition.

GOD HAD GIVEN OF HIS SEED…

…HIS living prepared pathway. He gave it ALL into the next "generation of His Presence" and the move of His glory in the earth.

Into a SON…

...Who had lived in the very Presence of God and was one with Him.

"THREE WISE MEN"

Matthew Ch. 2:9

After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

These three Kings had "heard the true intentions" of King Herod's "heart". They were discerning men, and realized that after having been "hauled off" by Herod to a very secretive meeting to inquire about this new "ministry" and possible challenger of Herod's rule...something was a little off beat!

Herod had left a very "Saccharine" aftertaste in the mouths of the Wise men and, wisely, they still stayed on the course that God had led them on and met the TRUE KING OF GLORY.

He was lowly, He was helpless, and He radiated the pure light and presence of God Himself.

THESE MEN DIDN'T NEED POMP OR…

…STRONG-ARMED, PRIDEFUL LEADERSHIP,

to cause them to bow down and give honor to this Tiny King! No! The simple humility of the "Promise to come" was enough to cause them to bow their knees and worship the King of heaven.

Their reward was to have a visitation in their dreams to not return nor to converse with Herod about the new wave of glory that would be coming through this child.

12 “And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod,

they returned to their country by another route.”

WHAT THE LORD IMPRESSED ME WITH

THROUGH THIS PROPHETIC INSIGHT/TEACHING IS THIS;

Whenever there is a fresh wave or move of God's Plan in the earth in regard to the redeeming of souls, there is also a counter movement at work among the "religious" and prideful intellectuals of the day.

These situations are brought on through the influence of evil spirits who have been assigned to try and destroy the future generations of passionate and unspoiled servants of grace that God would plan to use in the earth. The "Sons and Daughters" of the King.

SOME OF THE EVIL SPIRITS COME AND TAUNT THOSE WITH OLD RELIGIOUS RESIDUAL MINDSETS.

Those who feel that there is a "deserved" spiritual hierarchy in the ranks of the King. Many have assumed that because they have labored and have paved the pathway with their life's blood for the next wave of the King, that they deserve a place of special recognition and a form of "holding onto the leash" of those they have coming up “underneath” them.

If this is not humbly acknowledged and repented of, this can cause what the scripture calls "exasperating your children" to occur.

Colossians. 3:21

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children,

That they may not lose heart.”

This creates an atmosphere of shame and pushes many into a place of frustration in not wanting to dishonor their mentors, but feel that they will be watched in their every move and smugly, with an "accusing raising of the eyebrows" be "discussed" in demeaning terms, as they too try to reach their destinies and calling in the Way of the Lord.

AS WE BEGIN TO SEE THE DAWNING OF THE PROMISED WAVE OF GOD'S GREATEST HARVEST EVENT EVER KNOWN TO MAN SINCE THE BIRTH OF CHRIST JESUS, THE LORD IS GOING TO ALLOW THE "HEROD SPIRIT ATTITUDES" TO BE JUSTLY ADDRESSED.

There are those who were once deeply a part of what God was doing and have "lost" that so called advantage to either the aging process, transition in ministry, or through focusing strictly on their own ministry advancement.

THE LORD IS LOVINGLY ALLOWING PAINFUL TRAVAIL TO OCCUR,

in order for the current generation of Fathers and Mothers in the faith to see that through releasing and affirming the sons and daughters in their care, or… who are now, (due to the season) moving past them in influence or in special anointing, that they too WILL once again... run hard and multiply themselves through

Imparting and sending out the new wave of the King's regiments!

HINDERING OR HARVESTING?

The hidden prophetic and travailing element of individuals who are being shaped into the fabric of God's own weaving are currently being made ready for a swift and dynamic change of pace.

What was once long and hard will become shortened and filled with rest. Release of God's grace and abundant mercy is coming into fulfillment as you end your course of instructions for this season.

MANY OF YOU ARE IN YOUR LATE 40'S TO YOUR MID 60'S.

You have not had the pleasure of faithful mentoring. So. The Lord has instead, made your life one of mentoring and preparing others.

Look now at the pathway the Lord has allowed you to pave and one that others might walk upon when they too experience nights of darkness and difficulty. Your lives have a Divine Radiance that has prepared a "footing" for them in Christ, so that they may not stumble and fail.

A PROPHETIC ENCOURAGEMENT

"I the Lord have prodded, whispered, shouted, and commanded many to assist you in paving the way.

If you are weary of waiting for releases and the fulfilled promise, take what you now have and in reckless abandonment cast it upon the water. I will see to it that you will not be left with empty hands.   I bless what is little if it is given in humility and obedience rather than much given in false humility and personal safety.

Come to the place of safety. Under My shadowed wing.

Anguish has been your companion too long as well as the gaping ache for friends that stick closer than a brother.

I have begun building relationships among you that stem from brokenness in each of you and also where you have learned the value of discretion. See Me fulfill and direct your path.

Watch the answers dawn upon your list of asked and yet unanswered questions.

See ME as the One who can move upon the hearts of those who quickly obey when I touch their inner man with compassion and spiritual insights.

I have a few in the earth who live...

...To obey Me, Promptly."

THE WINTER OF OUR MALCONTENT – “FAITHING OUR FEARS”

For many weeks now, just as I was about to fall into a good deep sleep, I have heard in my spirit the words “ The Winter of our Malcontent.” Trying to reconcile those words in my own thinking, I would then say to myself, “ You mean the winter of our discontent don’t you”. Thinking about the fact that Shakespeare wrote this and put into print in Richard III, 1594.

Again and again… the same event would take place until I was made aware of what the Lord would have me write and share with those - who may have ears to hear. For you see, the subject can be one that many  - Fear.

Malcontent – definition

Disappointed, disenchanted, disillusioned, frustrated, unfulfilled; disquieted, disturbed, perturbed, upset; dejected, depressed, despairing, despondent

THE WRINGING OF HANDS AND HEART

For some, it is easier to simply live in a shell of denial or self concocted false spiritual bliss than to look soberly and “head on” at the turmoil and drama that the world is rapidly spinning and bobbing in.

It will not easily or wishfully go away, and at this time we are and will be, facing severe repercussions for wicked choices made by governments, banking systems and yes religious institutions.

All three can do good things, but many currently have chosen the ways of corruption, selfish ambition, deceptive story telling and above all, the giving away of their heart and minds to the god of this world. A god who traps its victims with promises of greater power, influence, and an adoring mass of “lesser gifted” humans who are expected to give homage without asking questions.

These pressures and practices can tear at the soul of the discerning hearts who see more than the “handwriting on the wall”.  They know, regardless of a solid stance of Faith in God’s providence and care - that something is very very wrong and, it is escalating.

THE FEAR AND HOLLOW ACHE WITHIN YOUR HEART

Many are panicking and poring over every website and news bulletin to see if there are falsities that they can catch and prove in the wrong, or truths that they can exploit. Neither of these will help.

And, the fear mongers believe that we all must be totally obsessed and baptized in fear by pouring it out to their audiences.

They will feed the panic and give power to the spirit of terror that is looming large and with insidious precision.

Where do apparent Bible believers get reliable information to nourish their fears? From you and me. We do it to each other all the time.

Why do we deliver information to our brother or sister that will feed his or her fears?

THE FIRST CAUSE OF FEAR IS THE FEAR OF LOSING PLAYTHINGS AND SAFETY.

We believe that "my God shall supply all your needs," but our old nature cannot believe that, especially when we hear news from worldly sources telling us someone is trying to take our toys and life resources away from us. When we give place to fear, and feast on it, feed it, and pass it on to other people, we are boldly denying that Christ will be our supplier.

If you have a belief concerning death, the end of the world, or the ultimate destiny of humankind that has no hope, no light, and you have the Church headed straight into a train wreck instead of looking at the light at the end of the tunnel, you are WICKED.

If all you do is sit around and talk with “wide-eyed” terror about the New World Order, the crash of the banks, the collapse of the dollar, and the concentration camps and micro chips getting ready for us you’re not only feeding fear, you also are a promoter and preacher of it.

Harsh words? No. Honest words intended to get you to shake off morbid living and to decide to truly serve the LIVING GOD or serve  - Fear.

WHAT FEAR IS

Fear is a harsh and wicked taskmaster.

Fear will not let you sleep well at night.

Fear brings condemnation and shame.

Fear causes hoarding and secret self-protections.

Fear will make you betray others to hide and protect your way of living and your opinions.

Fear will join with accusation and destroy safe relationships, by isolating you.

Fear is a liar and gathers clusters of other tormenting spirits to join with it.

Fear creates excitement for those who use it as a tool to gain attention or  - control.

JESUS HAS TAKEN CARE OF HIS BRIDE FOR 2000 YEARS

He is still doing so, and will never ever stop!

Know this! The light of Christ that shines in very dark times is the ONLY light that is available. I say this because this light is on "until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts." The light of prophecy is the light at the end of the tunnel of human history, and that light is a person:

“I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, these things in the churches.

I AM the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Revelation 22:16

So, the darker it is, the more blessed that light is. The stars shine at night, not during the daylight.

Light a candle in a room that has many lamps on, and no one will notice, but strike the smallest match you can find in a totally blacked out room, and EVERY EYE WILL BE ON THAT LIGHT!

WHY ARE OUR EYES, AND MOUTH FIXATED WITH HOW EXCEEDINGLY DARK IT IS?

1 Thessalonians 5 says

“You are all the children of light,

And the children of the day:

We are not of the night,

Nor of darkness.”

WHAT TO DO NOW

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Tell me, what good is it to obsess or prepare to survive the coming crash or doom if you end up living a stressed and tormented life over it?

You’re afraid because you don’t think God can handle your situation.

You’re afraid you’re going to die, you’re afraid you’re going to get sick, you’re afraid your kids are going to get hurt, you’re afraid the roof’s going to fall in, you’re afraid the demons are going to get you…

Whatever it is, it comes from two things.

Number one:  You have a guilty conscience.

Number two:  You have weak faith in God.

You can deal with both of those.

Have a guilty conscience?  Confess your sin and get it all cleaned out.

Weak faith?  Get your Bible open and read what God says about Himself and learn to trust Him.... And pray.

2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit, which God has given us,

Is not a spirit of cowardice.

But one of power and of love and of sound judgment.

FAITH OBEYS GOD IN SPITE OF CIRCUMSTANCES OR CONSEQUENCES

Fear can creep into the hearts of the young and the old, the rich and the poor, the most educated and the least educated, the powerful and the powerless.

What can one do to be freed of fear?

Faith is not afraid of what others may say or do. An “Elijah complex” can rob you of power and joy, so beware! Elijah went from victory to defeat because he started walking by sight and not by faith. He believed the wicked queen Jezebel's words but not God’s word, and he forgot how God had cared for him for three and a half years. Fear replaced faith, and he ran for his life. We need to obey the words

Do not be afraid; only believe (Mark 5:36).

Faith and fear are opposites, and yet, strange to say, they are often found dwelling within the same person; but where one is forceful the other is undeveloped. The constant attitude of the Christian must and needs to be,

“Behold, God is my salvation,

I will trust and not be afraid;

For the LORD GOD is my strength and song,

And He has become my salvation.”

Isaiah 12:2

WHAT OUGHT TO BE, AND WHAT ACTUALLY IS…

…  ARE TWO VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.

“When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.”

Psalm 56:3

However, when the grace of faith is in practice, its verbal communication will be:

One thing that must be addressed as well is the situation where there are believers who are currently in trauma, loss, or who are persevering through very difficult and possibly harrowing situations.  Very often those who have a shallow development of the fruit of Mercy and attributes of discernment are often found to spout out well rehearsed  “Shotgun” lines of scripture at those who are in the throws of battle and sorrow.

THIS IS NOT OK! It shows a great lack of genuine Christian Character and even worse, a lack of the nature of Christ. The following verse will clear up any religious sputtering about this, and hopefully bring a nice bit of conviction to the legalistic and hardhearted.

So those of us who have a strong [faith] must be patient with the weaknesses of those whose [faith] is not so strong. We must not think only of ourselves.

Romans 15:1

Jesus Stood up in the Storm and spoke PEACE. He did not scold and hammer away at the frighten men in the boat with him. He did not shame them with a tone of superiority or condescending “blather” when he said, “ Why do you struggle with trusting Me (faith) to take care of you?”  He used moments of doubt and fearfulness all throughout the bible as teaching moments, to disciple His beloved children. We too - Can learn from this. It will be much needed in the days ahead.

LET’S PRAY TOGETHER AND BE FREE FROM FEAR

Dear Jesus Christ,

I know that all power and authority on Heaven and Earth belongs to You alone. 
I come to You today, 
asking for supernatural divine deliverance from fear.

I am facing numerous issues that are scaring me, 
sometimes tormenting me! 
I ask you right now Jesus, 
in faith and with all of my existence, 
please, please deliver me from all fear.

I gave You my soul when I became a Christian.

So right now, 
I choose to symbolically, 
and literally hand you my problems, 
my fears. 
I pray, Jesus take these fears, 
and strengthen me against them! 
Protect me from every lie of the enemy that has come my way trying to deceive me.
 You have told me:

"Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." - John 14:27.

Right now, I give it all to You Jesus. 
Please deal with these fears for me. 
In the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God almighty, 
I renounce satan and all of his lies that are trying to make me afraid!

I pray that you Lord would
bind every enemy and spirit of fear attempting to operate in my life and rebuke it! 
Protect me from it!

Lord Jesus, 
please also help me recognize if there is something that I am doing to allow fear to manipulate me. 
Please let me know if there is something wrong that needs to change. 
Please let me know if there is something in my environment or home, 
that is causing my mind to have fearful reactions.

Help us, O heavenly father, to dwell not on our fears, but on who you are.  We can conqueror our fears only by focusing on you.  Then no matter what is the cause of our fears, they will dissipate like the morning fog.

This we ask in the name of Him who overcame all of His fears by fixing his eyes on You and You alone.  Amen

THE STRATEGIC DRAWING BOARD

There are a great number of Divine and strategic drawing boards and a re-designing going on in the lives of those called to move into the roles of Kingdom modeling of the Father’s heart, the Savior’s passion and the Holy Spirit’s purest functions in the Body.

“See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms.

To uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow.

To build and to plant." ~ Jeremiah 1:10

OLD WALLS vs. NEW WALLS

Old walls first come down before new ones can be put up!

Old walls of keeping people out of "your space"  -  "your ministry" - “your home”. The true boundaries of the Kingdom have room for everyone to freely express, (with respect for others), the passion they have for the "design" the Lord has given to them, for building up the King's domain!

The "kingdom" of God has grace as its boundary setting and humility as its foundation.

And it will be said:

"Build up, build up, prepare the road!

Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."

~ Isaiah 57:14

"THE ERA OF REBUILDING"

The Lord is speaking to us in this era of "rebuilding" His house of worship – that as we put first becoming those temples and hearts of men surrendered to him as yielded vessels, there will be rooms re-designed by the "Master’s craftsman" that will be filled with strategically planned prayer initiatives, music rooms equipped with "clear spiritual headsets" to hear the songs of the kingdom and actually record and share them freely, and a series of “family rooms” where all ethnic groups become "one family" as they fix their eyes on upon the "fireplace" of the presence of the Holy Spirit and His Pentecost type of power and might!

"I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me,

and what the King had said to me.

They replied, "let us start rebuilding."

So they began this good work.

~ Nehemiah 2:18

I AM RESTRUCTURING EVERYTHING

“Yes says the Lord!  I Am restructuring everything in your lives that I have allowed to be taken and shaken from you! How can you be My fresh expression in the earth with the old worn out living quarters of the past?

Those who continue to cling to the accolades of the past and bygone ministry meetings and services (even if they were just last week) will receive a limited amount of new assignments until they realize that the past is….PAST!

Each day is a new day and needs a fresh approach to the fresh design model that I AM revealing!”

“The day for building your walls will come,

The day for extending your boundaries.”

Micah 7:11

A CHANGE OF PACE – A STRENGTHENED GRACE

The unseen prophetic and travailing groups of individuals who are being shaped

into the fabric of God's own weaving, are currently being made ready for a swift and dynamic change of pace.

What was once long and hard will become shortened and filled with rest.

Release of God's grace and abundant mercy is coming into fulfillment as you end your course of instructions for this season.

“My friends don’t be surprised at the painful things that you are now suffering, which are testing your faith. Don’t think that something strange is happening to you. But you should be happy that you are sharing in Christ’s sufferings. You will be happy and full of joy when Christ shows his glory.”

1 Peter 4:12-13

“BIGHEARTEDNESS"

Bigheartedness will be a part of the evidence of a fresh wave of Kingdom glory in the earth. Missionaries or “sent ones” will not grieve over broken promises made to them for aid to go! No! Those now surfacing in the earth as the fresh wave of pure and “Joseph-type” of compassionate-hearted, nurturing investors (KEY WORD: Nurturing), will be suddenly established… as well as the faithful and obedient souls who have never merchandised the anointing or promoted their gifting nor have shamed others while they too were flowing in obedience themselves.

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened.

In order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.

The riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”

Ephesians 1:18

“THE SERVANTS OF BLESSING”

The financial institutions will be dumbfounded as supernatural windfalls hit the Body of Christ while worldly concepts and scheming only further muddy the waters of global finance.

Joseph gifts in the body, men and women, who are beginning to see with eyes now stripped of the fear of be taken advantage of, will be visited with great joy and supernatural revelation as they see that they are called by Heaven as “The Servants of Blessing.” They will operate in a restored life of purity in motive, in worship, and in honoring one another in Christ. Simply honoring each other without keeping lists of how much has been given or shared!

“All the believers were one in heart and mind.

No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own,

But they shared everything they had.”

Act 4:32

THERE WILL BE SHOUTS AND TEARS OF JOY

There will be shouts and tears of joy as heaven moves upon the hearts of wise, kingdom minded saints, who have been given grave responsibility over heavenly blessed currency. These sober truth-seeking saints, will hear the voice of the Lord and will not be moved by flashy pleas for glamorous support and promises of free gifts in return!  No! They will be led by the counsel of the Holy Spirit to be vessels that release a steady flow into the hands of those ready to only build with the name "Jesus" on the final product.

“Joseph TROUPES”

I am impressed by the Lord as I write that there are even those who have a “Joseph Troupe” type of calling that will actually store up investments and actually be teamed up by the Lord with missionaries, food banks, and other sent ones. The Joseph gifting will bless the harvest call on many seasoned and faithful servants of God who have been in places of preparation for further ministry to the Body of Christ globally.

HAND PICKED "PEOPLE APPOINTMENTS"

There will be specific "people appointments" from the Father in heaven and through His Holy Spirit, He will bear witness in the hearts of those called like Joseph, to assist their Godly assigned brothers or sisters in Christ in the touching and training of believers in many nations. Discipleship will once again become a key component with those who have the apostolic heart to mentor and direct others into the field of harvest.

HEARTS OF KINDNESS  - COMPASSIONATE ADVISORS

These wise ones have known the false and greedy appeals for more coffers of religion to be filled and are no longer swayed nor fleeced by them. They will become hands of blessing, hearts of kindness, and I am again impressed by the Spirit of God, that they will also be compassionate advisors to those who have poured out all they have upon the spiritually hungry without taking much for their own care and rest. They will also be given great discernment regarding whom they are not to pour into in the next season of Kingdom work.

A PLACE FOR “JOSEPH GRACE”

A Godly voice of wisdom will be heard from the Joseph-hearted saints and they will prepare fiscally, medically, and recreationally well-designed plans for those needing such tender care.  It will be as if the Father himself brought heaven to earth in the form of a heavenly Joseph appointed employer, providing a salary for the employee as God establishes a different way of sending laborers into the harvest fields of service and places He commissions them to go. They will go with a foundation of “Joseph grace” undergirding them financially, relationally, and more importantly, in humble fervent prayer as co-workers together.

“Joseph, called by the apostles "Barnabas"

(Which means "Son of Comfort"), a Levite born in Cyprus,

Sold a field that he owned, brought the money,

And made an offering of it to the apostles.”

Acts 4:36-37

REBUILD A NEW "HOUSE OF WORSHIP"

Allow the Father to do his work of re-construction without hindrance or fear! He will rebuild a new "house of worship" within each of His people who allow Him to walk into each room of their hearts and tear out the old and embedded dirt, grime, and of staleness of passive and fearful living. Accusing and harsh judgments, disrespect for others devoted time and critical attitudes will be purged again and again in the hearts of believers who have yet to see through the eyes of Christ those whom He lovingly calls beloved and faithful, even though viewed as awkward or fragile in the eyes of the immature or worldly heart.

Psalm 31:23

“All who belong to the Lord, 
 show how you love him!

The Lord protects the faithful,

But he firmly rebukes
 everyone who is proud.”

THE MOST EXCELLENT ETERNAL BLUEPRINT

It is the day for each member of the Body of Christ to think of itself as one Godly unit, ready to honor and edify each unique Master plan of the King. It's the hour where building upon egos, smug thinking, and entitlement only invites the demolition of the Spirit to go to work until the knowledge of humility and eternal reward are viewed as the most excellent eternal blueprint!

"Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts,

Try to excel in gifts that build up the church."

~ 1 Corinthians 14:12

A PROMISE FOR REST

Rest will be essential for the retention of peace and clarity in this next year.

As the training in humility and “gentleness of heart-expanded compassion” are applied in our lives as friends of the King, our souls will cease their strivings from the driven goals we set out to accomplish.

We will learn to listen to the wisdom and warnings of others in simplicity and humility. And, in gentleness we will sincerely approach one another as dear Jesus does. Although He is the wisest among us, He puts no heavy yokes or shameful modes of performance upon His children. He simply yokes them to Himself in a promised rest when they yield humbly.

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

For I am gentle and humble in heart,

And you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:29

IT’S A STRANGE AND TWISTED WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN

Many well meaning people try hard to give pep talks, cheery texts and even send emails with profound  topics or inspirational contents all in the hope of giving a bit of relief from the ever increasing “noises” of an uncertain world.

“ I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

John 16:33

WHAT DO YOU FEAR?

This is not always an easy question to answer right away. Emotions and physical reactions to the question begin to swirl and elevate stress levels when anxiety creeps in.

And, fear is a terror that can paralyze anyone if enough of it is allowed to enter our minds. And that is exactly where it first penetrates our peace. In the Mind.

Fear

noun

Fright, fearfulness, horror, alarm, panic, agitation, trepidation, dread, consternation, dismay, distress; anxiety, worry, angst, unease, uneasiness, apprehension, nervousness, foreboding;

WHEN WE FEAR WE MAKE POOR CHOICES

If you are afraid or “fear” being misled by someone, you will limit your intimacy or openness with him or her. Many believers in need of healing emotionally from harsh or indifferent parenting tend to keep deep relationships or friendship at arm’s length in order to maintain a sense of control or privacy for themselves.

This can become a form of “selective hearing or selective listening” if the individual feels that they need to remain aloof and frosty in order to gain the respect or validation that they feel that they need to exist.

The problem with this cycle is that is creates a private  “terror” of not having a solid place of safety with a few dear and treasured people, flawed people… but those willing to also be vulnerable and open.

Psalm 27:1

“The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?”

Every situation, location, and relationship of our everyday lives is in some way broken. As fallen creatures, the best we can ever do in this life is to know how to live in this broken-down house/earth suit that’s our current address. And, nothing and no one but God himself, in the fullness of his time, can change where we live. So as we experience the reality of life in this house, sometimes it will leave us confused and overwhelmed.

Sometimes it will leave us hurt and angry. Sometimes people will give way to envy because the house or “life” of someone living nearby seems far less broken. Sometimes we just get weary of the stress of it all and long for a house in perfect repair.

YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE

In those moments, those days, those seasons, remember that you are never on your own. The Master Builder has given us a copy of his renovation manual, the Bible. It will help us to understand why things are as broken as they are. It teaches us how to live well even in the midst of the brokenness. And it will explain the only way in which repair can ever happen.

Just never forget that the Designer himself has moved into the house with you. You’ve not been left alone. You can rest assured of his presence and his wisdom. His grace has blessed you with both of these.

However, He must be fully welcomed and invited into all of the “locked and hidden access areas” that others are not often trusted to enter into.

He who offers you such grace and guidance will never ask you to do what you are not fully capable of doing by God’s grace and ever present Spirit. He will not demand things of you that are beyond your abilities. Our Lord is tender and kind. He knows who you are and he knows where you’re living. He knows how hard it is to live in your broken-down house because in the flesh he lived here himself.

The Lord invites you to walk away from trying to figure it out on your own and he welcomes you to sit at his feet and learn the simplicities of living; things so full of meaning that you will see your world in a completely new way; things so practical that you will never live the same way again.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”

Philippians 2:3

TAKE A LOOK IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR FOR ONE MOMENT

Have you recently made decisions about who you will share with on any level such as giving, talking of dreams, sorrows, losses, major life events, and then afterward - pulled back only to run to either another source for additional validation or to agree with your choices or decisions? Or, have you reacted to some of the counsel or responses you have received by testing those whom you have shared with by removing your favor, kindness or former warmth from them?

These actions are often made rapidly when we are fearful or fear being wounded, and shift us into a place of survival and self-protection.

They can also isolate us from a loving, safe and healthy “corrective course” or direction away from fear and its tentacles.

FINDING THE PLACE OF SAFETY AND ACCEPTANCE

When we step into the hand of God we find the place of acceptance, and safety and an opportunity for service. It is the place of real authority, as well as of hiddenness.

God only works with those who are in His hand and those who do not keep jumping out of it, attempting to either control their own fears, but instead, often try to control others around them due to being fearful of the choices others make possibly affecting them.

Both greatly hinder the ability to trust other godly people and above all, to trust the safety of letting God do His job, while we rest in His hand.

The more we lie sheltered there, the more surely will He use us down the road. And it will be alongside others who freely share all that they have, without fear. Just as you will learn as you let go, and allow the Father to build a “Safe House” out of your life in His presence.

May the Lord do for us according to His word.

He said, "I have put My words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of My hand."

Charles Spurgeon spoke such a beautiful statement and I want to share it with you here.

“The shadow of God is not the occasional resort,

but the constant abiding- place, of the saint.

Under His shadow we are to feel that we are at home,

and then He will make Himself at home to us by becoming food unto our souls,

and giving spiritual refreshment to us while we rest.”

NO MORE HOOPS TO JUMP

When this is learned and treasured, you will then not withhold from or test others with rules or regulations set up to certainly fail them. We ruin great friendships or opportunities when we expect from others total vulnerability and openness and then only give part of what we have and who we are back in return.

Colossians 3:12

“Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Perhaps you are waiting on Christ, desiring His company, and while you are thinking these thoughts you are asking, "Will He ever direct His full gaze upon me? Will He ever speak loving words to me? Will He ever let me sit at His feet? Will He ever permit me to lean my head upon His shoulder?"

COME AND STEP BACK INTO THE SHELTER OF HIS HAND.

Though you might shake like a leaf in a strong wind. Come! Sometimes those who come trembling are those who are aware that they are the lowest and the Creator the highest. When finally admit that our own self-esteem is less than nothing and is total vanity, then Jesus is the more good and lovely in our eyes.

Let your humility of heart, and your sense of hollowness, as a replacement for disqualifying you, be a sweet instrument for leading you to receive more of Christ.

“Before his downfall a man's heart is proud,

But humility comes before honor.”

Proverbs 18:12

The emptier I am, the more room is there for the Lord

The more I lack, the more He will give me.

The more I feel my weakness, the more shall I adore and bless Him when He makes me whole.

You’re never in a better place than when you give up on you and begin to trust in what is certain.

The life-shaping wisdom of the One who created you - in the first place.

“After all, every house has a builder,

But the builder of everything is God.”

Hebrews 3:4

THE SPARROW IS A CLEVER LITTLE BIRD

In Psalm 84 David describes his longing to be with the people of God and in the actual moment that he wrote this, he was a wanderer; he was a fugitive.

He was not able to be in a place where he could have fellowship with God or other people, and this is when he wrote Psalm 84.

1 How lovely is your dwelling place,  Lord Almighty!

2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord;

My heart and my flesh cry out
 for the living God.

Have you ever felt this way or longed for fellowship like David wrote about with the Lord? His word so clearly express what it meant to David.

Then, he remembered one of his bird watching experiences. He remembered how at one time when he was in the house of God, he looked up toward the altar and he noticed some movement. When he looked closer, he found a sparrow building her nest, so he wrote in verse 3:

“Even the sparrow has found a home,

And the swallow a nest for herself,

Where she may have her young—a place near your altar.”

“Lord Almighty, my King and my God!” he said. “I wish I could be like that sparrow.

I wish I could be like that swallow that is able to build its nest at the very altar of God.” What David is saying here is, “Can you think of anything better than to have your home in the altar of God in the sanctuary?”

This is something so very precious to me because I am always so tremendously interested in nurturing and loving my family that I cannot pass this over.

Did you notice this swallow chose the altar of God to build a nest for her family?   She could have chosen any place to build a nest, but she chose the altar of God.

Yes! The sparrow is a clever bird.

BUILDING YOUR NEST IN THE SANCTUARY

I believe that things are put here for a reason and for instruction; so I am going to suggest that if you want your family to be all that God wants it to be, build your nest, metaphorically speaking, at the altar. Build your nest in the sanctuary because in the sanctuary is the answer to every question that you have. And I hope that you understand that I am not talking about a church building! I am talking about your fellowship with God. There must also always be room in your nest to include those with broken wings, or who have been abandoned or left as orphans.

A SPARROW IS VALUABLE

One more lovely thing about the sparrow. The sparrow is a valuable bird. I am sure that some people might question this statement! But it is a valuable bird, indeed. Some may say, “But not to man”! It is Valuable to God though!

I am sure the Lord did some bird watching as he travelled to places with his dear friends, but this particular instance that He records is in the temple.

As He went into the temple one day, He saw a whole bunch of sparrows, (remember that we are talking about a small bird) with their legs tied together, and they were being sold for a sacrifice in the temple.

In Matthew, chapter 10 notice what Jesus has to say about sparrows.

As He looked at those sparrows, He said, in verse 29:

“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?”

That was the least expensive offering that anybody could make.

If we were to stop there, we would say what we ordinarily say, “What is a sparrow? They are not worth anything at all,” but the Lord said, in the last part of verse 29:

…and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father knowing about it.

That is how valuable they are. Not one sparrow falls to the ground without God knowing about it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU SEE A DEAD SPARROW?

Do you just kick it out of the way and go on?  Often we see someone much like the little dead sparrow, wounded or suffering from the cruelty of others too busy to really care about a “broken wing” or perhaps a broken heart.

So many are busy licking their own wounds and getting on with their own lives, that they are unaware of the “sparrows” that God has placed in their midst. Those who need to be invited into a place of “Sanctuary”.! Do you treat your employees like this or a friend who has been through a season of sorrow or loss?

Do you find yourself simply walking past the Wounded or “dead Sparrow”? That would be a normal reaction, but evidently when the Lord saw the sparrow that fell very differently.  He said,

“MY FATHER KNOWS ABOUT THAT SPARROW…

…And my father cares about it.”

Then notice what He says:

Matthew 10

30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

A SPARROW IS SO IMPORTANT TO GOD,

…that it doesn't fall to the ground without God knowing about it, and you and those whom He has placed around you to radiate truth and hope to are of more value than many sparrows.

In Matthew, chapter 6 I think that Lord has done some bird watching and might want us to do some as well!

He said:

Matthew 6:26-34 (NCV)

26 Look at the birds in the air. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds.

27 You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it.

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at how the lilies in the field grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves.

29 But I tell you that even Solomon with his riches was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.

30 I clothe the grass in the field, which is alive today but tomorrow is thrown into the fire. So you can be even surer that I will clothe you. Don’t have so little faith!

31 Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

32 The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them.

33 Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.

34 So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

A very well spoken and eloquent preacher said one time,

“There is never a sparrow that dies but that God goes to its funeral.”

This really touched my heart and impressed me. Not a sparrow dies, but that God goes to its funeral.

THE NEXT TIME THAT YOU SEE A SPARROW…

…Remember that God is paying attention to that little sparrow. God is interested in you and He is interested and concerned about me as well! Remember that God cares about you so much more than even that sparrow and that He wants to draw you closely into a safe place of Sanctuary with Him! A place of safety and peace, where you can rest and learn about His love for you, for your family and those dear close friends and perhaps a few lost or weary lonely souls that He has sent to you.

HE HAS MUCH TO TELL YOU REGARDING ALL OF THE PLANS THAT HE HAS FOR YOU!

SUFFERING AND SORROW ARE A PART OF LIFE

Knowing this, however, doesn’t make it any easier to cope when you find yourself in the midst of the deepest, darkest trials of faith, and mentally anguish and strain.

Don’t you wish Christianity could make you exempt from suffering? That would be great, but as most of us have learned, following our faith doesn’t give us a free ride.

We catch as much trouble as unbelievers—often more.

The difference, of course, is that we can turn to Jesus when things go wrong. Unbelievers might argue that we’re only turning to our imagination, but we know better.

At some time in your life, however, suffering will hit you so hard that you won’t be able to do any of those things, and that dark time will probably visit you more than once.

“Even in darkness, light dawns for the upright,

for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.”

Psalm 112:4

WE ALL WANT THINGS WE DON’T GET.

Maybe it’s a person you’re sure would make a perfect spouse, and the relationship crumbles apart. Maybe it’s a better job or promotion, and you don’t make the cut. Or it might be a goal you poured your time and energy into, and it doesn’t come to pass or others sabotage it all.
All of us have prayed for the recovery of loved ones who were ill, but they died anyway.

It takes real spiritual maturity to stay faithful when things go wrong, but severing our relationship with God punishes us, not him. It’s self-destructive behavior that can put us on the path to a miserable life. The parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) teaches us that God always wants us to come back to him.

Whether your problem is discouragement, illness or aging, sometimes all you have left is Jesus.

When you’re angry and bitter, you can still cling to Jesus in the midst of your tears. You can grab onto him and refuse to let go until he brings you through it. You’ll find, to your surprise that he holds on to you even tighter than you hold on to him.

JESUS UNDERSTANDS SORROW

He knows about being hurt. He remembers the terrible moment on the cross when his Father was forced to abandon him, because he was filthy from taking on our sins. Jesus won’t let you go.’

And as you age and start down the path from this life to the next, Jesus will take your hand to guide you. He appreciates all that you have done for him through the years, but what he has always wanted most is your love.

So there you are in the middle of one of life’s train-wrecks-dazed, wounded, wondering what shoe-or bomb-will be dropping next, and up walks Job’s comforters.

We all remember Job from the Bible. A rich, powerful man, a great father and good in every way was Job.

Then, in a series of overlapping upheavals, he lost everything and everybody except his wife-who turned out to be a whole lot less than sympathetic in her changed status.

Battered Job ends up sitting alone on a pile of dirt, scratching his boil-covered body with some broken pottery.

WE CAN IDENTIFY WITH POOR JOB.

Life drags us through some tough times of loss that make us feel every bit like Job. Caught in a vortex of pain, and wondering if we’ll ever make it to safety.

And, boy, do we recognize Job’s so-called friends who showed up to by all accounts offer support and comfort. As they sat with Job in his misery, they took turns playing a self-centered, self-righteous, can-you-top-this game of knowing for certain that every bit of Job ‘s disaster had to be his own fault or a lack of trust in God. They weren’t sure how or why because Job seemed so decent, but deep down, they insisted, he just couldn’t be all he pretended to be.

THIS IS FAMILIAR TERRITORY

You get fired, and friends smirk knowingly when you try to explain the political nature of the event. Your child gets into difficulty-well; you know the kind of comfort you’ll get from friends about that. (It probably started sometime during potty training.)

Yet others try to “help” you with what I call “prayer lecturing.” While praying “for and with you” they let you (and God) know just how lucky you should be to even have running water, had a meal that day and more! Not really comforting in any way, and very very short on compassion.

Yet, from the story, it’s clear that Job was completely innocent. Dreadful things do happen to completely innocent people, good people.
Because of their opinion of Job’s guilt, history has bestowed his friends- (and their current replicas) – the label, “Job’s comforters.”
So-called friends who add to a suffering person’s anguish by piling on false charges of blame and guilt and harsh reprimand for daring to show sadness or agony.

You may never have met anybody like Job, but you’ve met his comforters on more than one occasion. They seem to be everywhere.

WE CAN CHARGE SOME OF IT OFF TO JEALOUSY

Job had everything a person could dream of wanting-and then some-so jealousy was never more than a stone’s throw away. The green-eyed monster is a little more subtle with people living everyday, typical lives, but jealousy doesn’t need much ground to take root and grow with vigor.

WE DON’T WANT TO ADMIT BAD THINGS MAY HAPPEN TO US!

If bad things happen to people who don’t deserve them, they could happen to anybody, including me. If I don’t want bad things to happen to me, (who does?), I have to persuade myself and everybody around me that the victim’s actions caused the problem. If blame can be assigned, then I’ll be safe as long as I’m good.

In other words, if I can claim that the cause of your problem is something you do that I don’t do, then what happened to you can’t happen to me. There is, of course, n
o logic to this, but it brings some shaky comfort to frightened hearts.
We see this thinking at work when people stare numbly at adversity and ask, “What did I do to deserve this?” Sometimes the answer is, “nothing.”

HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF WHY ME?

And it doesn’t have to be bad; you could be excited from something wonderful. Most often then not I ask myself this after something I am looking forward to goes wrong.

Even at times when something goes wrong I lay awake at night and my thoughts wonder to what previously occurred. I am sure everyone does it at times, wishing for another try or chance.

You may lay awake thinking about your suffering, part of life’s suffering is misery’s shadow persisting/hanging on; not only do you suffer but you have to think about suffering.

I can’t prove this with statistics or find it any book I know of, yet I would say that more people either come to the faith or fall away because of this reason above all; the disturbance of suffering.


YOU SEE GOD USES TIMES OF SUFFERING…

...TO TEACH AND GROW US.

If you allow yourself to recount your sufferings, did you not learn more about faith while suffering then any other time?
 It has been said that; “Blessings are God’s whispers, he speaks in our conscience, but shouts to us in our suffering.”

“O my Comforter in sorrow,

My heart is faint within me.”

Jeremiah 8:18

Suffering becomes the only way to realize our hollow spiritual self. Pain is unmasked, and every person knows when something is not right when they are hurting. Pain insists upon being attended to.
So when you travel down this line of thought you come to the idea, why do I or someone else suffer when others don’t?

I KNOW SUFFERING IS EXHAUSTING AND PAIN HURTS

That is why it is called pain and suffering. If there were an escape a person of great wisdom and insight would have done it already. Yet Discipleship demands such trials to compel us towards renewal. Read Hebrews 2:10

“God, for whom and through whom everything was made,

chose to bring many children into glory.

And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering,

a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.”

The real question is what to do when life has just punched us a good one, and Job’s comforters show up at our door. Nobody says we have to let them in. And certainly nobody says we have to entertain them. And, most positively, nobody says we have to believe them.

“For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives,

So also through Christ our comfort overflows.”
2 Corinthians 1:5

We can sort out the who’s-to-blame-for-what after we get some solid ground under our feet and a little energy back into our lives.

But we still won’t want Job’s comforters anywhere around us…
… We will want people who care.

DISTURBING DAYS

It doesn’t take a genius mind to know that we are in some terrible times here in the earth! Wars wars and more threats of wars! Economic pressures, ungodly rulers, missiles aimed and ready to blow up other countries, child abductions and murders are on the rise and we have had odd and bizarre weather patterns! And these events all can occur in just one week’s worth of change!

I hear the Holy Spirit bringing a clear word of comfort and help to His people who have ears to hear what He is saying to them. Those that are determined to follow the voice of the Good Shepherd and not strange voices.

John 10:5

And a stranger will they not follow,

But will flee from him:

For they know not the voice of strangers.

HEARTS OF BROKENNESS

The days have seemingly turned darker, uncertain, and frenzied as media reporters shell out the hyped newscasts of doom and despair. And although much of what is being reported may be actually happening, it is intentionally ratcheted up to keep viewing polls well oiled and operating.

751 All of the noise pollution and the droning voices of the media personalities can weary and weigh down the heart of those who have a compassionate and sensitive spirit or heart.  And. Often through all of the pressure filled “minute by minute live” reporting, people can become restless and fearful, anxiety ridden, and heavy laden with so much hitting them.

Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down,

But a good word makes it glad.

IT IS A CRAZY WORLD WE LIVE IN AND IT’S NOT GOING TO GET EASIER AS CORRUPTION AND WICKEDNESS CONTINUE TO PLAY TOGETHER!

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Although we are not to be totally ignorant of what is occurring around us and live in recluse mentalities, the Lord does have a greater plan and focus for us during such tough times.

You and I as children of God will never really feel at home here on planet Earth. We have been Divinely implanted with a spiritual device deep in our spirits that longs for the “Home of Heaven”.

No more tears, no more night, no more longing to fully be-long! We have been walking a pathway of preparation, each of us in different stages of our lives, to transition from this decaying world and body into a heavenly place of resurrection and eternal abundant life.

It’s the living here now that is so like rough grit sandpaper to our nerve endings!

2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack

And will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.

To him be glory for ever and ever

Psalm 61:3

For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me,

A strong tower against the adversary.

We are in much need of a directional adjustment as believers right now, a redirecting of the compass, as the world turns itself upside down with malice, dictatorships, and political posturing.

We need to be certain that nothing of the world and its behaviors is hidden in our own hearts. We must hear that Magnetic pulling voice of the Holy Spirit, and obey it without turning left or right.

Deuteronomy 5:32

So be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you;

Do not turn aside to the right or to the left.

The Spirit of the Lord is calling out to His people in this very very serious and crucial moment to allow Him your ears that hear and your eyes that see to discern where the compass for your soul is located! It points to a dwelling place of Divine Rest and Protection.

752 There is a hidden deep place of safety only revealed to those of pure motive and clean hands.

THE LORD IS CALLING OUT TO YOU AND I.

“Come to Me! Run to Me! I know that you are heavily burdened by all of the concentrated pressures mounting around you.  Run to the Dwelling place of Divine Rest and Protection!  It will require you laying down the things that so easily set you off and get you weighed down with concern and anxiety.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting the whole of your cares

All your anxieties,

All your worries,

All your concerns,

Once and for all on Him.

For He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Come to the simple place. Huddle into the shadow of My Wings for,

I AM the Refuge for the child that heeds My voice and runs to Me, abandoning self made plans for protection and self-preservation.

I AM your shield,

I AM your Fortress.

But you must come to the Refuge with no agenda in your heart or a Message on your lips. You come to the Resting Place of Safety from the Storm to WAIT, Ponder, Rest and rethink your Life call.”

Psalm 5:11

But let all who take refuge in you be glad;

Let them ever sing for joy.

Spread your protection over them,

That those who love your name may rejoice in you.

CONTINUAL SAFETY

When we walk in the way of surrender and tenderness with our ears attuned to the still small voice of God, we actually walk in the Overshadowing safety of the Presence of God.  Training our spiritual ears to hear the voice of the Father is a lifetime guarantee of knowing when the storms or troubles will arise and is a promise for direction to a place of Divine Protection and direction whenever needed.

Psalm 16:9

Therefore my heart is glad

And my tongue rejoices;

My body also will rest secure

Rest Child of God. REST!

752 It is the hardest thing for the mind and body to do! Learning to rest when the world is screaming at a fevered pitch, “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW” is a hard-learned yet reachable discipline if we will lean into it and ask for God’s help.

Hear the Voice of God calling you to enter into His rest. It is a place of pleasant simplicity and uncluttered doctrine. His Presence silences all of the noise of the day and noise of the Head.

HIS PRESENCE IS A REFUGE FOR THE WEARY

Dear child of God!  There is no judgment or shame there.

It is a restful place of learning to take up an easy yoke and a light burden.

Perhaps right now…. as you listen to this  audio podcast or read this…

…You might just sit back and “Enter in to the Refuge of God”.

Lay down the weight of worry and frustration. The anger at life all bottled up in rage and gloom!  All you need to take with you into the shelter is a willing heart. Ready to trust the Divine Protector and Provider.

Enter…

…Into His Rest.

Psalm 33:22

May your unfailing love rest upon us,

O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.

As the days begin to change and the seasons take their course, so am I also beginning to adjust the path you have been treading out.

“I have been keeping track of all of your sorrows,

Collecting them and all of your tears in a bottle.

I have written down your tearful sorrows…

…In My journal.”

Psalm 56:8

MANY HAVE PASSED YOU BY ON THE ROAD OF SORROW THAT YOU HAVE HAD TO BEAR,

too busy to stop and comfort, too concerned about what others might think of your condition. Others are only focused on their own forms of grief and have yet to learn to comfort others in their weariness and tiredness.

I HAVE ENCOURAGED ALL OF YOU WHEN OTHERS ARE HAPPY, BE HAPPY WITH THEM!

If they are sad, share their sorrow. (Romans 12:15) Even the Samaritan, one least likely to reach out, stopped and cared for the man battered, hurt and sorrowful left on the road.

Many who claim spiritual piety and goodness, turn their heads and hearts when they see another brother or sister aching in sorrow or tragedy.

Let it not be heard about you my child in the heavenly realm, that you protected your own comforts or your own position and turned away from a brother or sister in their prolonged agony.

I HAVE BEEN TESTING THE HEARTS OF MANY WHO LAY CLAIM TO A WILLINGNESS TO DO ANYTHING I ASK OF THEM,

but sadly then “pass on the other side" in order to avoid involvement with what "appears to be" one who is struggling or failing. As you do to others, so in your time of need will it be done to you!

I YOUR FAITHFUL REDEEMER HAVE HEARD THE HEART WRENCHING CRIES FROM YOUR PRAYERS

and I am even now giving you strength and empowerment to stay firm and continue to believe that I will restore all to you that has been shattered, stolen, or shamed!

"It is God who gives us, along with you, the ability to stand firm for Christ has commissioned us.

He anointed us!"

2 Corinthians 1:21

I HAVE ANOINTED YOU EVEN IN THIS SEASON OF SORROW!

And I will bring a fresh and pure expression of Godly living and giving into the earth through those we who see that they are being prepared as good Samaritans and who themselves are also being cared for by others who require nothing in repayment.

Many are hearing my voice calling to them to bring relief to those who have been faithful in obeying my voice,but have been persecuted heavily for doing so!

OBEY MY COMMAND QUICKLY! ACT NOW!

Bless them, help them heal, providing for them like I would! You will be greatly rewarded for this effort.

“As you give them even a cup of cold water in my name,

You have done it for Me!”

Matthew 10:42

As you have been faithful to believe that I have better plans and a better way than the schemes of men, Very soon I will wipe away your bitter tears and despair.

You have begun to understand what it is to fellowship with My sufferings!

In the days ahead, you will also share in the first fruits of harvest.

"God, who has called you into fellowship

with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful."

COME JUST A LITTLE NEARER TO MY HEART NOW.

THE NIGHT IS NEARLY OVER.

You will see that the time of sorrow and weeping will pass, and a breaking through into the greater plan for you is in motion. I have been into the future for I AM all that you will need.

WAVES OF MY REDEMPTIVE GRACE AND PURE HOLY CLEANSING.

The Nations are waiting for those who will only speak out of clean motives and pure hearts. I have prepared you for this time in the earth and I will fulfill all I have planned concerning you.

You are hearing the prophetic words and music exactly as they were recorded and might even hear my voice falter at times because of the strong presence of God touching me as well while recording.

Those who stood faithful in intercession while I recorded made it like heaven on earth as they bathed the studio in the beauty of prayer and in the honoring of the Presence of the Lord.

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS SAYING;

"Be very careful whom you share your treasures with. How many pearls have you cast before piggish souls in the past, only to have them ground to powder?

The servant Paul the apostle was more than a new herald in the order of the day. He stirred up old systems and disturbed demonic religious strongholds. You must be ready to "power up" for years of opposition and hoards of religious factions and fracture s of truth!

The past years of agony have been hard soldierly-like boot camp. Elite forces training. It will not go away. You must simply learn that it is My duty to do the fighting for you. Just be certain that you are only speaking, ONLY SPEAKING, what I have told you to. Nothing more .nothing less."

THIS IS A TIME IN THE KINGDOM WHERE WE ALL MUST SOBERLY COUNT THE COST OF WHAT WE ARE ABOUT TO STEP INTO ON EVERY LEVEL.

If there is not the peace of the Holy Spirit resting on those who you are involved with don't move into anything until the peace comes. Gatherings and movements can feel real exciting and purposeful until conflict, control, and competition show up.

The apostolic and prophetic saints in Acts, fasted, ministered to the Lord, and then the Holy Spirit spoke. We have all learned many a painful lesson in the past from experiences of over planning, programming, and hurrying to help God out.

TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON A TIME.

Until you have a full green light don't move. It will keep you from having to backtrack and it trains in humility.

ACQUAINTANCE OR RELATIONSHIP?

Ask yourself the following question. "Are you simply an acquaintance or are you working in relationship with others and those whom you feel are to move into a more Kingdom minded level of Spiritual intimacy with?"

Before I finish with what the Spirit of God would have me share in a final prophetic word, I am impressed to share with you the difference between the two words

Acquaintance and Relationship

Acquaintance 1.Somebody who is known slightly rather than intimately. 2.Knowledge, usually slight, of somebody or something.

Relationship 1.The connection between two or more people or groups and their involvement with each other, especially as regards how they behave and feel toward each other and communicate or cooperate. 2.An emotionally close friendship,

IF YOU SHARE WHAT IS PASSIONATELY BURNING IN YOUR SPIRIT WITH THOSE WHO ONLY "RELATE" ON A CASUAL SPIRITUAL LEVEL THEMSELVES YOU WILL BE CONTINUALLY DEVASTATED.

Spiritual intimacy can only be as deep as those who spend the time in spiritually intimate worship, waiting, and self-examining dialog with the Father and in relating to others of a likeminded heart. Not easy for busy human life!

Philippians 2: 1-3 1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ,

if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

A PROPHETIC WORD CONCLUSION:

" Hear Me" Cries the Spirit of Holy Grace and Mercy! I desire to move upon, in, and through each of you. Not one of you alone can endure the onslaughts of evil by standing aloof and silent. Nor can the most vocal of gifts among you clearly communicate all that I long to express.

Until each one is willing to step into the Holy place of pure relationship with Me and with one another, waiting, crying out, Yes - even waiting until I come and refresh, then the generation waiting in the wings will not fully come forward.

Until it is branded into your spirits that this era in time is for the saving of the lost, the redeeming of the wasted, and the release of the power of My glory, you will be so very very frustrated by the heaviness that doggedly harasses your soul.

What I ordain, I cover. What I command, I give direction to. Be certain that you have heard what I am saying. I am fully aware of the weariness and fatigue you have been experiencing. Heavier than anything you can recall from the past.

Do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you! 1 Peter 4:12

There are many many others globally who are also still wrestling out of the cocoon in new birth and are suffering also. PRAY FOR THEM!

Hellish warfare will be a normal activity in the days ahead. Unless you harness the power of consistent prayer and train yourselves in regular gatherings of passion in prayer and worship together, you will shrink back into serious doubt, anxiety, and dread when the trauma of warfare attacks!!

GIVE VOICE TO MY SPIRIT!

Awaken your mute tongue and give voice to My name, My power and My Kingdom Solutions! No weapon formed against you will ultimately prosper! My Spirit longs to declare wonders, to decree Justice, and to destroy darkness with your lips proclaiming from the spirit.

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

Speak out in truth and in praise and I will step into your midst with the peace you have been craving and groping for. Quickly! Enter in before you reflect and exchange ideas. After I am given My rightful place of honor and adoration, then I will speak and give you clear vision and direction."

The question is often asked, "What is the reason for the weak spiritual lives of so many Christians?"

This is an excellent question and it is amazing how little the church responds to Christ's voice, which is ever calling out! How little the church is what Christ wants her to be!

What really is the matter? What truly is needed?

Many answers will be given but there is one answer that includes them all. each believer needs the full eye-opener of a personal Christ as a spiritually internal, “living inside of me”  Lord  and as someone who was a satisfying portion.

When the Lord was here on the earth what was it that distinguished his disciples from other people? I think the answer is that Jesus took them away from their fishnets their busyness and their homes. He gathered them around himself and they knew him.

He was their Master, and he guarded them, and they in turn followed him. What is supposed to make the difference today between Christ's disciples-not those who are just hoping to get to heaven, but those who are Christ's wholehearted disciples-and other people? I think it's this. When Jesus was upon the earth, he was able to keep the disciples with him for three years day after day. Now that Jesus is in heaven, and he is able to do what he could not do when he was upon the earth - to keep in the closest fellowship with every believer throughout the entire world. Imagine this!

You might know the verse in Ephesians: 4:10

“He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might  fulfill all things.”

Why was our Lord Jesus taken up to heaven?

Away from the life of earth? He ascended to heaven because the light of the earth is confined to localities, but the light of heaven has no limits, no boundaries, and no localities. He was taken up to heaven so that in the power of God the ever present omnipresent God, that he might be able to fill every one of his followers on earth and be with every individual believer in a personal way.

This is what my heart wants to experience by faith. It is a possibility, it is a promise, it is my birthright, and I want to have it! By the grace of God, I say to Jesus, “Jesus, I will not rest until you have fully revealed your self fully to me.”

How did the disciples get their burning hearts?

Remember that day that they were on the Road to Emmaus? It was through the way in which Christ opened the Scriptures to them. He made it all look different and new, and they saw what they had never seen before! They could not help feeling how wonderful and how heavenly the teaching was!

Many Christians have discovered that the best time of the day is when they can read and pore over their Bibles, and they love nothing more than to find a new spiritual insight. Just like a person who mines diamonds rejoices when they have found a diamond these individuals delight when they get some new thought from the Bible, and they feed upon it.

Yet, even with all of their interest in God's word and with the joy that is stirred in our hearts, when we return to work or attend our daily duties, we find that there is still something missing in our lives.

From time to time…

…We must leave all the many and unique blessings that Jesus gives us,

and come to the one blessing that outshines all of them.

The blessing that Jesus makes himself known, that Jesus is willing to make himself known to us!

If I were to ask you, “Isn't this exactly what you and I need, and what many of us have been longing for?” I am sure you would answer, “Yes! This is exactly what I want!”

Listen to this poetic verse.

“Oh, the peace my Savior gives!

Peace I never knew before,

And my way has brighter grown,

Since I've learned to trust him more.”

An individual in the midst of great trouble and difficulty wrote this poem.

She stated that it brought wonderful comfort and strength to her.

However, how can a person maintain peace in his or her life? It was the presence of Christ that brought the peace; therefore, peace must be sustained through the continual presence of Jesus.

Remember that when the storm on the Sea, was threatening to swallow up the disciples, that it was the presence of Jesus himself that brought the peace.

Do you want peace and rest?

Then you must have Jesus himself.

We talk of purity, and we talk of cleansing. We also talk of deliverance from sin!

Praise God, for the deliverance and the cleansing, when the living Jesus comes and gives us power and strength. It's there that we find that we have that resurrected Christ who sits on the throne, who is making himself known to you and I. This is the secret of purity and the secret of strength.

Perhaps some of you may be now asking,

“How will Christ revealed himself to me? How will he come?” That is the secret no one can know, it is the one that Jesus keeps to himself. It will come in the power of the Holy Spirit. Remember the disciples on the road to Emmaus?

They had a sudden revelation of the living risen Christ!

The Scripture says, “Then they knew Him!” He revealed Himself, he showed Himself fully to them, and then he vanished from their site! Was that moment of Christ visiting them revealing Himself to them worth much? It was over in a minute, yet it was worth heaven, eternity, it was everything!

From that time on Christ's disciples were no longer to relate to him in an earthly way. Thank the Lord that Christ now reveals Himself to each and every one of us by the power of the Holy Spirit. Yet, how He does this is a sacred thing between Christ and each individual believer. Take this as an assurance, “their eyes were opened, and they knew Him,” and believe that this was written for you!

You might be able to say that I have experienced a sad heart at times.

When I mourned that I did not know the living Christ. And I have had times when my heart is slow to believe and have struggled with my lack of faith, and I also know this stage of a burning heart in what I experienced and the  great times of joy and blessedness.

If you can say these things you will come to a place where you have a satisfied heart.

You will have a heart that has been made glad and will last until eternity!

You will have a heart that cannot keep and hold its joy but is poured out on other believers and shared, just as the disciples ran back to the believers in Jerusalem and said, “It is true! Jesus has revealed himself! I know it! I feel it! It has been made personal and real to me, alone!”

Dear child of God.

I'm sure you are asking but how would this revelation come?

Jesus will tell you. Just come to him and say a simple childlike prayer. You need to come to Jesus yourself. What I share with you here today is finished! I have pointed you to the risen One. Now you must step into the presence of the Holy One and begin to crying out, saying, “Oh my precious Lord and Savior! I have come to you and fully abandon my dreams my will, my hopes, and my sorrows.   I have come so that I might have this blessedness with me at all times.

Dear Jesus!  I want you completely the fullness of all that You are. I want to know you personally and completely. Not just simply by hearing the experiences of others. No Lord! I want to know that I can have your blessed presence surrounding me at all times because I am your child and I have been set free from my own condemning self-hatred, religious thinking, performance-based actions, and fear of not measuring up.

Jesus! Help me! Be my portion forever!”

Is this possible? Can we always be thinking of Jesus?

Thank God you don't need to be consistently thinking of him. You may be the manager of a grocery store and your whole attention may require you to carry out the business that you have to do. While you were thinking of your business, Jesus will be thinking of you and He will come in, and if you listen to Him he will take charge of you.

When I was holding my new Grand-daughter just today, (5 months old) I was thinking about when an infant sleeps in his or her mother's or grandmother’s arms, he or she lies there helplessly. He or she hardly even knows it’s mother or grandmother, he or she does not think of her, but the mother and grandmother does think of the child. And this is the great mystery of love.

Jesus waits to come to me in the fullness of His love.

And when He is allowed possession of my heart, He gathers me into those Divine arms and tells me, “My child I am the ever faithful one, I Am the mighty one, and I will remain with you. I Am watching over you and will keep you every day.”

Oh I can hear many of you saying, “Oh, if only I could believe that, if only I could believe it is possible to have Jesus constantly taking and keeping charge me every hour and every minute!”

But you see this is exactly what He said to you. He said these words,

“For low I am with you always”.

He meant it in the fullness of His divine love, and He is longing to show himself to you and to me, as we have never seen Him before.

“Your heart says this is too good to be true,

And that is just too wonderful to be possible for you.”

Still you do admit that it is an amazing way to live!

Oh you fearful one, mistaken one, and anxious one!

I am bringing to you God's promise; it is for me and for you.

Jesus will do it! As God, He is able, and Jesus is willing and longing, having been the crucified one to keep you in perfect peace.

This is a wonderful fact…

… And it is the secret of unspeakable joy.

The words, When Harsh Winds Blow- Chaff  Must Go, have been playing themselves over in my mind.

As I have pondered them and have allowed the Voice of the Holy Spirit to instruct me as to why I have been impressed with this rather unwavering statement I sense the Lord addressing many deeper issues that are well anchored and maintained within our souls as believers.

HARSH WINDS

These blustery currents in the natural can be devastating to property, trees, and all living-breathing creatures. We have all seen what the devastation of hurricanes and tornadoes can do in a very short amount of time.

Often when listening to the traumatic stories of those who have lived through a nightmarish storm, the realities of what they hold near and dear have been laid bare and brought to the surface. Many weep over the loss of family photographs or tender things like Grandma s old chipped china and are unconcerned about larger material items, but are deeply thankful for the safety of family members after a traumatic event. Others, are shaking fists at the sky and are enraged that they have been infringed upon during a difficult time, and want somebody else to pay for it!

THE HARSH WINDS OF LIFE BLOW UPON THE GODLY AND THE UNGODLY. NO ONE IS EXEMPT.

There are some of life's storms that threaten to blow away everything we've depended on as well.

Friendships are tested, relationships are strained, and the Lord uses these harsh winds blowing against our lives to remove the crusty chaff that can form and harden around the seed of our lives.

Those who are independent in nature find a bitterness creeping into their attitudes and heart. They feel infringed upon when things are not easily controlled or maneuvered in their favor. And so, the Holy Spirit allows the winds to blow until a conviction penetrates the self centered soul and exposes the fleshy comfort zone of," My Way, My World, My Rights" !

No man has power over the wind to contain it;

so no one has power over the day of his death. As no one is discharged in time

of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

Ecclesiastes 8:8

HOW LONG WILL THE HARSH WINDS BLOW?

As long as we practice wicked behavior in the eyes of the Lord, and no matter how hard we try, we cannot stop it! He is winnowing us, allowing us to be caught up into the refining wind of the Holy Spirit's conviction so that the chaff and waste places in our souls is removed.

(Yes you can say "ouch" right about now!)

CHAFF MUST GO! WHY?

Chaff is a waste material plowed into the soil or burned.

Chaff, as a waste product from grain processing, shows us a symbolic use of the idea that refers to something seen as worthless.

This is where we read, "to separate the wheat from the chaff" from Matthew 3. It means to separate things of value from things of no value. Another example is in Psalm 1 which says: "Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away".

We Christians often presume that because we are redeemed through the beautiful sacrifice of Christ for our lives, that we have an opportunity for an easier and more privileged life.

This is simply not so! We are given a shield and a holy stamina to withstand the wiles of this world, but no free passes to a life of ease.

The Lord loves ALL of mankind.

He longs for ALL of mankind, (that includes you and I) to come to a place of trust in His way not our way. Fully stripped of self-will, self-gratification, self- justification, and self-focus.

He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:45

I KNOW! I KNOW! THIS STINGS!

But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. James 3:14

I can hear a few righteous folks saying, "I would never boast about envy! " Well! Selfish ambition is well hidden in our personal behaviors. We offer gifts or opportunities for others to be blessed or helped as long as we are feeling in control and benevolent at the time of the offer or good intention. But when the winds of life shift and the Lord allows the chaff of "waste materials" of our soul to be Tornadoed -bitterness and exclusive rights abound!

Huffiness, abrupt harshness and passive aggression will manifest and expose the soul's clinging nature which does not want the hand of God striping away any safety veneer that we use to protect our approach to life.

A CHANGE IN THE SPIRITUAL CLIMATE HAS OCCURRED!

A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. John 6:18

Jesus allowed the wind to be a teaching point for his disciples. They had walked with Him, talked with Him and served alongside Him. But trusting Him when the Storms and Harsh winds blew reveal a weakness that we all must look at, and often. We trust the Lord when things are going our way, but when the Harshness of a storm blows us off the course that we set, many times we run to our own devices or Plan B.

So many at this time in this difficult age are screaming,

Lord! Don t you care about me? The winds are blowing, and I am fearful for my life! If you Love me, why are you allowing this horrid event to occur?

Even Peter in his zeal to get out a boat and see if it was indeed Jesus calling to him to come, once he was out of the safety of his own control and the winds blew against him, he focused on it, and not upon Jesus, who was there the whole time. Peter cries out, "LORD I am Perishing SAVE ME!!

CONTROL IS A DEEP, DEEP NEED

Perhaps the deepest need people have is for control. When we feel out of control, we experience a powerful and uncomfortable tension between the need for control and the evidence of inadequate control.

Without the Presence of God in our lives we will attempt to control everything, every event and every person around us in order to attain the sense of order that we crave.

DRAWING NEAR TO GOD

It was James, the brother of Jesus, who wrote to the believers in Jerusalem, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double- minded people!" (James 4:8).

If we draw near to God, he will respond and draw near to us. Drawing near to God is spending time with Him, worshiping Him, praying and talking to Him, inviting Him into every aspect of our lives.

BRING YOUR HEART UNDER HIS LORDSHIP

James then gives us the blueprint for drawing near. If you've committed sin, confess it, get rid of it.

Next, ask the Lord to examine your heart, your motives, and the things that make you do what you do.

Bring your heart under His lordship as well.

May our actions be manifestations of a clean heart and conscience.

Allow HIM to remove the Chaff, the

wasted time controlling things, and TRUST Him to align your life.

Notice that when he writes about this he says, "Purify your hearts, double-minded people."

What does he mean by "double-minded"?

A person who is double-minded is drawn in two completely different directions. And so he or she will get nowhere fast because loyalty is divided and they will vacillate between faith and unbelief. A double-minded person is unstable in all his/her ways and his/her spiritual walk is inconsistent because he/she tries to serve God and his/her own interests and gamble their life against the Harsh Winds. We've all learned that this kind of living never works. You cannot serve two masters.

GOD DOESN'T PLAY GAMES!

No one is going to get very far with God by playing spiritual games. It will soon be discovered that the only people playing the game with you will be me, myself, and I. It's just like people thinking that they can "ride the fence" into the kingdom. There is no riding the fence, there is no lukewarm support group you're either in or out. If we really want to know Him, we are going to have to get serious about our relationship with Him.

A MOMENT IN HIS ANGER - A LIFETIME IN HIS FAVOR.

God disciplines for a moment when He wishes to get our attention and our lives may indeed become painful for a period, but then comes His favor. God doesn't delight in either our depression or our damage. When He begins to deal with the chaff in our lives, it is for our advantage, that we may be conformed to His likeness and reflect His holiness.

When we sense God s disapproval, when it appears He has withdrawn from us, it is only so that we see our utter need of Him.

When life seems to be so sour, when everything crumbles, we must remember what we say we believe, that God s favor is with us, because of Christ s worthiness given to us, because we are adopted and His - which means that His favor always wins out over His disapproval.

This picture is painted well by the words "Weeping remains for a night." Weeping and sorrow are pictured as a traveler who comes to stay for a night. The pain and sorrow we feel may seem as though it has moved in with us like an unwelcomed guest who decides to stay for a very long time.

BUT, REJOICING COMES IN THE MORNING.

Your mourning will dissipate in the morning. Your winter will melt into summer. God will replace your sighing with singing. Grief will give way to gladness. What was once bitter will be made sweet, What was once a desolate wilderness will be transformed into a paradise.

Like the first rays of the sunrise which dispel the harsh winds and gloom of night, God gives us joy when the darkness of our problems seem as though they ll never leave.

YOUR CROSS HIS GLORY

What is so crucial to understand is that as a Christian, your life will be filled with times of weakness and strength, with want and wealth, with disgrace and honor, with crosses and comforts, miseries and mercies, joys and sorrows, delight and mourning. And as this cycle of separating Chaff from our lives reoccurs many times in our lives it moves us from the cross to glory.

For your own health and so that you find all your satisfaction in Christ alone, God will send you times of great growth and other times of emptiness.

When the harsh winds blow, know that God desires that you find your hope and comfort by His own fire.

When the balmy breezes come, give Him praise and thanksgiving for the warmth He provides.

"Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed." Psalm 57:1

I invite you to step out from the familiar comfort zone in which you now 
are and take a risk. 
In the body of Christ today there are many different kinds of comfort 
zones. Step out from your comfort zone that leaves you in the place of 
being a “Fallow ground- Christian.” 


What I mean by that statement is – “being currently inactive but with the 
possibility of activity or use in the future.”


THINK HONESTLY 
Are you living as unto yourself, basking in self-approval or self hatred, or 
are you self-consciously living for God’s glory and for the encouragement 
of others? 

Is there joy in your life, and a deeply developing love for God, in the 
“routine” you have carved for yourself? 



We all need the discipline of doing something that goes beyond our 
comfort zone. Some of us need to risk being at an event whose only 
purpose is to pray instead of going to get something or hear something 
that will feed our own need for more attention and self-focus. 



How many times have your heard the line, “If I won the Publisher’s Clearing 
House Sweepstakes, I would do sooooo much to help others who are poor 
or are going through difficult times?!” Or, maybe you have said, “When I 
close this business deal, get my family inheritance, sell that piece of 
property (uh…brings to mind a certain Ananias and Sapphira from Acts 5) 
then I will obey the prompting of the Lord to “Do something to help.” 



A MOVE FROM GOD’S HEART If we are truly going have a move of God’s Heart not just His Hand in the form of a “Harvest”, we need to start living the lifestyle that sets a 
precedence for such a move!

Meaning?

Prying our fingers away from what 
we will not share with others until “we” are first satisfied and justified in 
our own “Self preservation.” This does not just apply to material goods. It 
means sharing from the heart humbly, partaking openly with others 
allowing them in, and allowing tears to flow in vulnerability.

These make 
us equals in painful times and equal when we rejoice. 

If folks can’t share during their good times and seasons of abundance, 
they will not fully obey the Lord in caring for their brothers and sisters 
when times are difficult.

SHARE WHAT? Time, resources, wisdom, counsel, transparent dialog. And, how about a 
focused “Listening ear” instead of a benevolent sort of “tolerant” dead-pan 
stare as someone pours out their deeply bruised soul, looking for a 
handhold or foothold that will assist them in grappling with the 
overwhelming “mountain” of life.

“For the LORD searches every heart 
and understands every motive behind the thoughts. 
If you seek him, you will find him; 
but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. “
 1 Chronicles 28:9


”Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, 
Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, 
where he prayed.” 
 Mark 1:35


Gut it out with God. Confess your dissatisfaction with the stale places 
where you have allowed “moss” to grow over in your devotion to the 
discipline of Reading the words of Jesus, Heeding the words of Jesus, and 
then Feeding the Words of Jesus to the hungry, lost, and scared people 
around you in your daily “Missionary calling” as a follower of the Great Reviver of your soul.


”For this is what the high and lofty One says— 
He who lives forever, whose name is holy: 
 "I live in a high and holy place, 
but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, 
 to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” 
Isaiah 57:15

“FLAT LINING” Personal revival is usually needed when something in our walk with the 
Savior has gone into a “Flat line” and needs to be “shocked” back into a 
proper heartbeat. 



The closer we become devoted to and more intimate with The King, The 
Comforter, and Savior, the more near He is to us and, will reveal His daily 
“Divine Appointments” for our lives and for His Glory. 



If Jesus did it to survive- so must we! “But Jesus would often go to some place where he could be alone and pray.” 
 Luke 5:16


WE NEED TO BE ALONE! Why? In order to not have the distraction of leaning on someone else to “do the praying or talking” for us for one! We gain 
perspective, and refreshing after repenting, and a “reality check” regarding how we are to live the lifestyle of a Christian in an ever-darkening world 
where morals and values are crumbling at an uncontrollable speed.


LET US SEE AND HEAR AND ACT! As we face the fallow ground left unfruitful.. (through intentional denial that we allowed this) …in our lives and allow the Father to create a clean heart in us, and renew or “Revive” a right spirit (godly attitude) within it, the soil 
can be a host for seed and harvest. 



He gladly does this! WE are His faith seeds in the soil of Earth!

“He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, 
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.” 
Psalm 126:6 
”He restores my soul. 
 He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” 
Psalm 23:3


WISDOM FROM THE SPIRIT 

 If you want present day revelation, you must have a level of solid Christian 
maturity to not only discern it, but to apply it. There are more and more 
”Muddy” approaches regarding how to be wise or savvy in living your life
being sold in bookstores and every media venue out there!

If you want to 
drink or eat re-cycled food…well, be my guest. BUT! If you truly desire 
depth and a secure anchor for surviving and flourishing in any 
circumstance that you surely will have attempt to sidetrack and undermine 
your Godly Destiny, you and I will have to go to THE SOURCE of Wisdom 
and stay there until we “Get it.”


1 Corinthians 2:6 
”We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, 
but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, 
who are coming to nothing.”


”But solid food is for the mature, 
”which by constant use have trained themselves 
”to distinguish good from evil.” 
Hebrews 5:14

GIVE JESUS JOY 

 Romans 12:12 
 ”Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

These are the attributes of the faithful and true follower of Christ. And, as Jesus watches over our coming and our going, every moment of every day, 
His joy is made complete when He sees the evidence of a restored life being fruitful and steadfast, no matter what the condition of their 
circumstance or surroundings.



Believer. Let us press on into the walk of maturity in Christ where nothing 
shakes or shatters us anymore, because we live in the light of His Glorious Grace.


”So we praise God for the glorious grace 
he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.” 
Ephesians 1:6
